We provide a free assessment on all mobile phones that arrive at our recovery centre. This usually takes 24 hours.

All phones are assessed and categorised as follows:

1. Fully operational – recovery for reuse
2. Faulty – requiring repair
3. Salvage – component recovery
4. Refining/return – combined process

When determining which category, our priority is to recover and reuse the mobile phone ahead of the recycling option.

As part of the assessment process, all equipment is stripped of any personal identities and reset to factory settings where possible. Any SIM cards found are removed and destroyed by certified destruction.
