OVERVIEW
Following an upgrade programme Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS) had approximately 450 redundant mobile phone handsets around the UK.
ACTION
We provided secure collection from several sites and documentation was provided from each collection through to the final certification of all 428 handsets. We then provided a final waste transfer note and sale confirmation document for HBOS’s waste trail.
RESULT
HBOS will continue to use EMC for the remainder of the handsets in order to establish their waste trail and to comply with forthcoming WEEE legislation.
